About TerraTech

Our History

In 2019, Sooner, Inc. purchased CTAP, LLC as a sister company to Sooner Pipe, LLC. At the time, both companies owned and operated pipe services centers in US. While it made sense to keep CTAP and Sooner as separate entities commercially, it made as much sense to consolidate the operations groups into one. And so Sooner, Inc. created TERRATECH services as a division of the company to manage all service centers, logistics assets, and pipe threading and maintenance shops.

Who We Are

TERRATECH combines the culture and history of Sooner Pipe and CTAP. Henry Zarrow founded Sooner in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1937. He had a simple purpose: connect the people who create the world’s energy with the supplies they need. Duke Altschuler founded CTAP in Boulder, Colorado in 1986 with a desire to solve oilfield problems by working with people. TERRATECH merges the best of both companies to expand on those purposes, and help grow Sooner, Inc. into one of the world’s largest oilfield services and logistics providers to the oil and gas industry.
